Technology doesn't stand still. It is always changing and
evolving. As an educator it is my responsibility to attempt to stay up with
advances and changes related to teaching and learning with Web 2.0 tools across
my career. Professional development is an important part of continuing my
education, but I can't depend of professional development provided by school
districts to stay up with advances and changes related to teaching and learning
with Web 2.0 tools. I strongly believe using the Web 2.0 tools I have used in
the class throughout the semester will give me the ability to say informed. Educational
networking is a one of the most valuable resources I have at my fingertips.
Tweetdeck provides the opportunity to save a list of hashtags related to educational technology
which gives me access to more resources daily that would take me weeks to find
on my own. The Web 2.0 tools I will use for educational networking is Twitter,
Tweetdeck, Diigo, YouTube, EdTech webinars, ect. I will take full advantage of professional
development opportunities provided to me, but using the resources I have been
introduced to this semester I can learn of advances and changes related to
teaching and learning with Web 2.0 tools on a daily basis which is nothing
short of amazing.
